UNEXPECTED VOICES: CHAPTER II
SUICIDE PREVENTION

Unexpected Voices seeks to bring about actionable change to the barriers that veterans face in accessing mental health care.

Such changes can only happen by shining a light on the systematic failures that bring about irreversible damage to the community.

To bring about the change, Unexpected Voices provides a louder voice for our veterans by cultivating relationships with influential members of the community to raise the profile of these issues to the national media and public attention.

At the 7th Annual Veterans Awards we will tell the  stories of tho who lost the fight to mental health obstacles they faces post-military service.

Furthermore, we will illuminate efficient solutions to help veterans overcome the societal stigmas that surround mental health which create unimaginable and subsequent harmful consequences.

ABOUT THE VETTYS

The Veterans Awards, also known as the Vettys, is an annual award ceremony presented by the Academy of United States Veterans. The awards honor members of the veteran community in the United States in various categories. The 7th Annual Veterans Awards will be the second chapter of our mental health epidemic campaign that surrounds many of our military and civilian families.
